Welcome to
Charlotte's Garden

Hi, my name is Charlotte and I’m a gardener. I live in Upstate New York in a suburb of Rochester which is known as the Flower City, so I guess I’m well placed here! Twenty-two years ago, I started a perennial garden in my back yard. It started modestly enough, but each year the flower beds got a little larger and trees and bushes begged to be planted! Eventually, I added a Maple, a Canadian Hemlock, a White Pine (the tree of peace according to Iroquois legend,) a Red Bud, a Flowering Dogwood, rose bushes , Mock Orange, Lilac, and Forsythia bushes, as well as peonies, lily beds, daisies, flocks, lavender and a zillion other perennials mixed in with annuals, garden angels and heart rocks!

Today the garden curves around both sides of the house to the back where it slopes up an incline to the property line marked by a tall hedge row of wild rose bushes which provides privacy year round and three weeks of heavenly fragrance in June. I retired this year (which for a gardener simply means you have more time to work… in the garden!) and have started taking more flower pictures. I’ve selected some of my favorite photos to create a special collection of greeting cards called Charlotte’s Garden. You can select your own favorite pictures on the next page. Just click on the thumb nails below for a larger view, then pick your own flowers!

(Warning:  The flower images are very beautiful and the cards are difficult to part with so you might want to consider one box to keep and one to use for sending cards to friends!)
